[Solved] Notepad++ Replacement for Linux Users

After mrigrating to linux, I feel the loss of my favorite text editor, ie notepad++. I’m trying to find a notepad++ in linux version, but not found. Because notepad ++ is built in C #, so it can not be ported to linux. I still hope maker kindly notepad ++ to create a version of Linux.

I’m looking for alternatives other than notepad++ with the same capabilities. There are several alternatives, such as SciTE and notepadqq. There is also a text editor atoms and bluefish also gedit default linux. I use linuxmint.

SciTE is not as complete as notepad++, can not match the notepad++, although widely used by developers, but I do not use SciTE.

Gedit is also a good text editor, lightweight and easy to use. But I am not satisfied with the default program of this linux. It feels different.

Then, I tried notapadqq. Notepadqq has very similar interface to Notepad++, but its not as complete as notepad++ on windows. But, I am satisfied with notepadqq, I use notepadqq as my primary text editor.

How to install notepadqq

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:notepadqq-team/notepadqq
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install notepadqq

Then, you can access notepadqq from main menu. Happy coding guys..
